On Alaska and Men

This is my husband when he visits Alaska.

And this is my husband when he's not in Alaska.

I guess "When in Rome...."

The men outnumber the women in Alaska by something like 2:1, so you'd think the odds of finding a good man were pretty good. I had to move to Washington to find a good man. Women in Alaska have a saying about finding a man: "The odds are good, but the goods are odd."

Am I biased against Alaskan men? No, some of my favorite men, including my 4 brothers, are from Alaska. But I will be the first to tell you that they are truly odd.

If he came down South would he grow a mullet? It might be worth the trip just to see. :)

I agree, send him down south. See if he grows a mullet! That would be funny.

That's a funny quote! He looks so different in each pic I can hardly tell it's the same guy!

I think you'd have to hog-tie him and glue a wig on him to get a mullet picture - he wont grow his hair out.

On the other hand, I do have a picture of him with a mohawk from when he was a punk rock/street kid/surfer living on venice beach in California. I may post that picture on another foto friday.

Oooh, I want the venice Beach punk rock pic in comparison now! Those are fun to see the differences! I love seeing your pics of the NW. Makes me miss it this time of year. Its so gorgeous in the summer.

It looks like two different people. Wait, are you secretly from Utah? Do you practice Poligamy? Do we need to host an intervention?

Men...that is Hilarious! Definitely when in Rome...but does that mean that Alaskan Men wear that kind of hat?
