Every once in a while I do a double-take when I see waterfowl feeding under water. For a moment, I stared at these geese completely unable to identify the species. Then their heads pop back up and I feel dumb.
Funny how the phrase "bottoms up" usually involves intake of some kind, whether you're human or aviary.
I see these birds every day, and I take pictures of them almost every day. One of these days you are all going to get sick to death of my bird pictures. Personally, I prefer having birds making their way through my back yard as opposed to the other critters that hang around here: an endless supply of rats, bugs and other creepy crawlies that I cannot identify. Although it is nice to see the bees back in action.
There is a giant squirrel that lives around here, but my camera has yet to capture him. Don't tell anyone, but I'm actually a little bit afraid of him. Shhhh!

Beautiful photography and writing. Glad I found you site.
Nice photos!
Here we mainly have moose. Oh, and the hoofabous. And rumor has it there are bruins, but we've not yet seen em. And hawks and other birds.
Anyway I like wildlife.
