There's nothing quite like sitting together under a great tree by the water when the weather is blistering hot.

Anyone know what kind of tree this is?

I haven't a clue what kind of tree it is, but I'd love to spend an afternoon sitting beneath it.

Especially love that third photo.

Oh my goodness, GORGEOUS pictures as always! It's fabulous in color, but I bet it's also pretty darn cool in Black and White, too!

Since you have a great photo blog, I would appreciate it if you could spare a minute to participate.

Thanks!

Considering that a Linden (or Basswood) typically have a straight main trunk and this tree is broadly branched, has oval shaped leaves with smooth or slightly saw toothed edges, and has deeply fissured bark... I think it is an Elm.
